BEST Soccer Skill School Program The BEST Skills School focuses on the technical aspects of the game. It's built around four main concepts: Acquire, Develop, Master, and Employ. At each stage, the player will develop physically with co-ordination, strength and stamina; and psychologically, boosting self-confidence, resulting in a better soccer player. Our aim is to teach the player 'Brain and Feet" as they do in school with "Brain and Hand". We relate all training activities to the skills that players see and perform in the game. All activities are heavily reliant on a repetitive style of coaching. Our ultimate aim is to: (1) make every player more technically efficient, (2) physically understand their bodies, and (3) psychologically strong. This will create a DOMINANT player that can have TOTAL CONTROL OF THE BALL AND THEIR BODIES. Program Overview Week 1 - Receiving and Passing: Improve first touch and Passing Accuracy Week 2 - Shielding and Turning: Practice and perfect Changes of Direction; Stop & Start; Feint Moves Week 3 - Ball mastery: Improve touch, control and coordination with the ball Week 4 - Skills to beat a Player: Improve reaction speed and 1v1 speed; Fast Break Attack; Finishing Our goal is for every player to get 250 quality and purposeful touches on the soccer ball. Arrive between 15 to 30 minutes prior to start time to check in.Please bring a copy of your birth certificate. We recommend player's attend both night of tryouts. When attending the second night of tryouts, please make sure your child has the SAME number that they were issued at the first night.
