Steve played college soccer at Brandies University from 1986-90. Captain of the team for 89-90. Steve has coached college soccer at the University of Maine Orano from 90-91. He returned to the area to get his Maters degree and started to coaching high school soccer in 1992- 2016.  Two time coach of the year in 2007 and 2013. Large school State Coach of the Year in 2007. Steve started coaching with BEST FC in 2015. He has coached the Boys U12, U13, U14 and moved over to the girls side in 2016. Steve will coach of the 2002/2003 DPL Girls team, along with Paul Mumby

John has over 10 years of experience coaching in  both Head and Assistant coaching positions at Club, High School and Town Travel. John has been a member of the Algonquin Regional HS Girls Coaching staff for 8 years and was recently named the Varsity Head Coach for the 2020 season.  John’s accreditations include the US Soccer D License and numerous MIAA, NFHS and United Soccer Coaches qualifications. John will be working with Coach Steve Cimino and the 2004 Girls DPL team in the Fall 2020 season.

Ben has been coaching youth soccer for a decade.  Ben coaches the Elite Boys 2003 and 2006 teams for Best. When not coaching for Best FC, he serves as the Director of Coaching for the Southborough Youth Soccer Association. Ben holds US Soccer D License. Ben is interested in learning coaching techniques from other cultures around the world. He holds La Liga Formation Methodology Level 1 certificate. Ben is currently interested in French soccer and the techniques they have used to produce some of the top players in the world. Ben supports the Revolution, Arsenal and the US National Teams.

Coached the team to their only winning seasons.1995 Dedham High School Head Coach Girl’s JV  Club: Present BEST FC Head Coach 07 Boys Elite since 2016 Town: 1990-1995 Head Coach U10-U14 Stoughton Youth Soccer Boys & Girls Div 1 Teams 1991-1994 Elected President of SYS. Changed the intramural program from full field to small sided games for ages U6-U10.

David has over 20+ years of coaching experience at the youth, club and MLS academy level in Massachusetts. David was the Mass Youth Soccer Boys Coach of the Year in 2017. David is presently an Academy Coach with the New England Revolution and is also the Mass Youth Soccer Boys U13 ODP Assistant Coach. David is a huge FC Barcelona and Juventus fan and will be coaching the BEST FC Boys 2008 and 2007 teams in 2020/2021.

David holds the US Soccer Federation (USSF) National C License, United Soccer Coaches (USC) Director of Coaching Advanced Diploma, USC Technical Development for the Advanced Player Diploma, USC Sports Psychology and Individual Mental Skills Diploma and many other diplomas from United Soccer Coaches. David is American Red Cross- Adult and Pediatric First Aid/ CPR/ AED Certified as well Safe Sports and CDC- Heads Up Concussion Youth Sports Certified.

John is a Master's certified licensed educator and has been teaching science in the state of Massachusetts for over 30 years.  John has over 30 years of experience working with all levels of youth soccer players in Massachusetts. John has worked as a High School coach for Westborough, Millbury, St.Peter Marian, and Valley View School in North Brookfield.  John has 10+ years of experience working as a club coach coaching teams from U12- U19.   John also worked for the Westborough Youth Soccer Association as a Board member and coach for 10+ years.  John held age director positions for age groups U-10, U12, U14 and High school. Currently, John is entering his tenth year as a High School coach at Westborough High School as well as a third-year high school coach for BEST FC. John holds the US Soccer E  License

Rob has over 10 years of experience working with all levels of youth soccer players in Massachusetts. As Technical Director with BEST FC, Rob guides the organizations coach, player and parent education and communication and is tasked with ensuring the player development environment is consistent with BEST FC's Mission, Philosophy and Playing Style. 

Rob holds the US Soccer A License, US Soccer Grassroots Instructor License and US Soccer National Youth License. In addition to his role with BEST FC, Rob works with Mass Youth Soccer as a certified Coach Educator and Communications specialist. Rob is currently the U12 Boys ODP Coach with Mass Youth Soccer and a member of US Youth Soccer's East Region ODP Staff. Rob is a huge Watford FC fan and lives in Brooklyn CT, with wife Ashleigh, son Liam (5) and daughter Haylan (3). Rob will be coaching the 2006 Girls, 2009 Boys and 2010 Girls Elite for 2020/21.

Adam has worked at professional soccer clubs in England such as Blackburn Rovers, Burnley and Leeds United. At these clubs he held roles within male and female academies working with goalkeepers and field players. At Best FC, as the youth goalkeeping coach, I am responsible for the development of goalkeepers up to High School ages. Adam currently holds the UEFA B license, along with multi skills level 2 and Coever Youth Diploma. Adam is a Blackburn Rovers Fan and will be coaching 2005 Girls Premier, 2005 Boys, 2008 Boys, 2010 Girls Premier for 2020/21.

Steve currently holds the US Soccer C License and has over 15 years of experience working with all levels of youth soccer players in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and beyond. Steve's previous coaching experience includes coaching a variety of club and town programs in the New England area, as well as 3 years coaching with the Massachusetts ODP program, and 1 year as an assistant coach with the Women's Soccer Program at Salve Regina University in Newport, RI. Steve is a huge Newcastle United FC fan and will be coaching the 2011 Girls, 2011 Boys and 2012 Girls for 2020/21. In addition to his role as a Senior Staff Coach with BEST FC, Steve also oversees our summer camp programming

BethiLedoux2008 Girls NPL

Bethi is a certified Physical Education teacher who graduated from Springfield College. She grew up in Westborough and captained a successful Westborough HS Varsity team under Coach Paul Mumby. Bethi holds the US Soccer F License and Grassroots, 7v7, 9v9 and 11v11 Licenses. This Fall will be her 3rd season on the Westborough HS coaching staff. In addition to coaching the Westborough High School JV and 2008 Girls Premier teams, Bethi currently teaches in the Ashland School District.

PatMcClellan2009 Girls

Over the past six years, Pat has coached at various levels throughout the state. While serving as a full-time teacher, Pat has coached at the varsity level, and, most recently, he serves on the coaching staff for the U15 Girls ODP team. Prior to joining BEST FC, he was also a part of the TSL, a grassroots program that works to supplement local town programs. Pat currently holds a US Soccer D license.

Paul is the Co-Founder and Director of Coaching for BEST Soccer and BEST FC.  In addition, since 2007, he continues to teach Physical Education Teacher at Mill Pond Elementary School in Westborough. He has been coaching youth soccer for over 25 years. Paul is the Westborough HS Girls Varsity Coach since 2007, leading the team to several district and state tournaments. From 1998-2006, Paul was the West Boylston Girls Varsity Head Coach. In 2006, the team became the Massachusetts Division 3 State Champions!  Pauls hold many soccer licenses and qualifications:  US Soccer 7v7, 9v9 and 11v11, United Soccer Coaches Director of Coaching Diploma, United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma, UEFA B, Coerver Youth Diploma.

In 2020-2021, Paul will continue to coach the 2002/2003 DPL Girls , 2005 DPL Girls, 2008 Elite Girls, and 2007 Girls teams.

CaitlinPickulGoalkeeping Director

Caitlin has over 10 years of experience coaching college soccer at the Division 1 and 3 levels.  As the Director of High School Goalkeeping for BEST FC, Caitlin is tasked with planning and running all of the goalkeeping sessions for that age group.  She works with both the boys and girls, covering a variety of different topics ranging from a weekly focus on basic handling and distribution techniques to 1v1 situations, dealing with balls in traffic, angle/position play and so on.

In addition to her role at BEST FC, Caitlin is the Head Coach for the Nichols College Women's Soccer program.  She is also an Assistant Goalkeeper Coach for ODP program with Massachusetts Youth Soccer.  Prior to her time at Nichols, Caitlin was an Associate Head Coach & Assistant Coach at the College of the Holy Cross, Assistant Coach for the Wellesley College Women's Soccer program as well as the Assistant Director of Strength & Conditioning.  A native of North Andover, MA, Caitlin played for North Andover High School, Boston Lightning AFC and in the ODP Program with Mass Youth Soccer before going on to play at Providence College.  Caitlin holds her CSCS from NSCA as well as USSF F License, and NSCAA  Goalkeeper Level 1.  Caitlin loves watching NWSL games and is looking forward to working with the high school aged goalkeepers.

Alisa has been coaching youth soccer in Massachusetts for the past six years. As part of the BEST FC coaching staff, she is committed to the holistic development of players technical, tactical, and socioemotional abilities. Alisa currently holds a National F License and has completed 9v9 US Soccer Grassroots Course. Alisa also works as a science educator at the high school level in the Worcester Public Schools. Alisa will be coaching the 2011 Girls Team.

Shaun has over 10 years of experience coaching in the USA, as well as an additional 5 years in England. Shaun started out in America during the summer of 2008 working with all levels and age groups. His role at BEST FC is a full time coach and has worked with age groups starting at 4 years old up to high school. Shaun holds his FA level 3, UEFA B, NSCAA Advanced diploma, US Soccer E and US Soccer 4v4, 7v7 and 11v11 Diplomas. Shaun Is a huge Manchester United fan and will be coaching the 2006 boys, 2010 boys, 2012 boys and the Player development program during 2020/21.

TJZirkman2002 Boys

TJ has over 5 years of experience working with various levels of youth soccer in both Massachusetts and New Jersey. He has been with BEST FC for 3 years now, starting with the recreation programs before moving on to coaching the 2009 Boys Premier. He was a two-time captain of the Clark University Varsity Men’s Soccer team and graduated in 2017 with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. TJ holds the US Soccer 7v7, 9v9 and 11v11 Grassroots Licenses. TJ is a huge Chelsea FC supporter and will be coaching the 2002 Boys Elite for 2020/2021.
